The bedroom is where you spend your time sleeping and relaxing. Therefore, it should have a relaxing and cozy ambience rather that just being a room with a bed in it. The look of the room could affect your mood, thus, affecting your relaxation. If your bedroom is cluttered and looks like there’s so many things going on, it would entice your mind to work and think, and may give you a hard time catching sleep. For this reason, you must change the look of your bedroom so that it may be inviting.
Start with your bedroom color. Nature colors are said to help us relax, thus you may want to consider shades of green and brown as they are the combination that designers use nowadays for bedroom styles to create a tranquil setting for relaxation and sleep. Organize your things such as bags, shoes and jewelry. Most people treat their bedrooms as one big closet. They just throw or put things everywhere in the room, from clothes to cosmetics. Opt for under the bed storage to keep your things from cluttering up your room. The space under the bed is a great place to hide your belongings, not dusts and litters, as it can be a hidden extension of your closet. This can save you more space for other bedroom furniture. For the children’s bedroom, make sure there are storage areas designated for their toys and school things.
Always make the bed. This is the best way to keep your room tidy and relaxing. Think as if your own bedroom is a guest’s room and you’re always expecting a guest everyday. This way, spending a couple of minutes tidying up your room will become your habit.
